Quick And Easy Lemon Rice Recipe South Indian | Perfect For Quick Lunch | Dinner | Lunch Box


today we are preparing South-Indian style lemon rice you can also prepare it with leftover boiled rice it is a yummy, quick to prepare rice dish, a perfect time saver keep a pan on medium heat add 3 tbsp oil and let it heat up once the oil is hot reduce heat to low add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and let it crackle now put in the urad dal & chana dal stir a few times add the asafoetida and stir again add the ginger paste dry red chillies and peanuts. you can use cashew nuts instead stir roast until the dals and peanuts get roasted. keep heat on low once these are roasted put in the curry leaves and green chillies stir for a few seconds and put in the turmeric powder and 3/4 tsp salt. we had added 1/4 tsp salt to the rice while boiling it mix nicely and put in the lemon juice stir for about 10-15 seconds put in the freshly boiled rice or leftover boiled rice if you have it you check out our boiled rice recipe video link on the screen. this has been prepared by the draining method we had cooked this rice until 80% cooked stir the mix until the rice combines well with the other ingredients. the heat has to be on a low once mixed cover with a lid and cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat the slightly undercooked rice will get completely cooked now after 3-4 minutes the rice is done put off the heat, cover the rice and let sit for 2 minutes after 2 minutes the lemon rice is ready to be served transfer to a serving dish and serve the lemon rice with papad or coconut chutney lemon rice tastes great as is too do try it and share your experience if you like the recipe please share our video and subscribe to our channel. press the bell icon so you get our new video notifications. thanks for watching
