My name is Carl Reinholdtzon Belfrage
and I’m a food critic. Welcome to my favourite city for food:
Malmö! Hi! I would like some fun cheeses
for the weekend. Malmö is a brightly shining star
in the sky of food. It gets more interesting
the closer to the continent you get. Malmö has the best position for this. The most interesting thing I have eaten
is baby eel. Very morally questionable. Good to see you! We are in
one of my favourite lunch spots: Saltimporten
in the area Slakthusområdet. Today we are having chuck with celery,
nuts and a cream. Amazing produce. It’s delicious. We are like the traffic police,
showing the costumers where to go- -what to avoid,
when to stop and when to walk. This is my second tip: Bord 13.
Come along! – Hi! Bord 13 is currently
the leading bistro in new Nordic cuisine. They have experience from Noma. Perfect! Typically, restaurants in Malmö look
like they were thrown together quickly with driftwood on the walls and ragrugs. But it’s done in good humour
and very unpretentiously. -Perfect! Thank you. – Cheers!
-Cheers! This is my last tip: drinks at Bastard. A perfect way
to wrap up Friday night. Cheers! This development
has been the fastest in Malmö. The focus is on locally produced,
cheap ingredients previously ignored. Several restaurants share the philosophy
but still serve different food. In this field,
Malmö is number one in Sweden.
