Integrative Nutrition | Health Coach Training Program Diary Series – Chapter 1

(uplifting music) My name’s Ilene Godofsky. I’m from Queen’s New York and I enrolled at Integrative Nutrition in September 2013. I’m Lauren McDonald. I’m originally from Louisiana but I live in New York City and I enrolled in September 2013. Before I decided to enroll in this school I had been thinking about it for about three months. So I started a recipe blog just to see what kind of response I could get from people. And the interactions that started happening through the blog were really amazing. Doing that gave me the confidence to enroll in the school. I got into the training business about 14 years ago after my third child was born and I joined a local gym. And I became very inspired with a trainer there. She was wonderful and she inspired me. And I went and got certified in Group Fitness Instruction. And a good friend of mine who also was a client. She went many years ago at Institute for Integrated Nutrition and she had a great experience. So I actually called her up. I said, “How was that for you?” And she said, “The best thing I ever did.” I went to art school and I studied textiles. And so my experience there was more in the classroom. The difference with this program is more that it fits into your life a little bit easier I think. There’s work. There’s a lot of things to learn and books to read but it’s sort of. It finds a way to fit into your lifestyle. Well, I’m already actually implementing what I’m learning with my clients. My existing clients and with families and friends. But my goal is to put together my own signature program. To launch that online and to be able to reach people all over the world. I kind of have a dream about making a smoothie cookbook. Because over the summer I did a project where I was making rainbow colored smoothies. And so I think would like to turn that into a cookbook. But also maybe something about easy cooking. Simple foods that don’t take longer than a half an hour to put together. (uplifting music)
