Cheese rolls pie – simple recipe You’ll need: pastry sheets cottage cheese plain or sparkling water sour cream sunflower oil salt… start making the filling: cottage cheese… add a little water, sparkling or plain it is easier to crumble the cheese… add water little by little, it is easier to add, than to take out sour cream, 1/2 a cup… this one is…180 grams we need half mix… salt, only if needed sunflower oil… 2-3 spoons maybe… mix again… Done. The filling is ready oil the baking tray with 2-3 spoons of sunflower oil use a paper napkin and oil all over the tray now the pastry… open the package… wide open the pastry sheets… and count 3 or 4 sheets for the first roll… 4 if it’s thin, 3 if is thicker. sorry, you can’t see better… I’m counting and I have to see, too and so, divide the sheets for 4 rolls… be gentle, don’t break the sheets… you got the idea, let’s go further… spread the sheets… divide the filling in 4 and spread one 1/4 of the cheese on the sheets. no need for oiling between sheets start making the roll and put it in the oiled baking tray second roll, same procedure… another 1/4 of filling, spread it over… roll, as simple as this… put it in the baking tray… and the third one.. and the last one… when the filling is gone, in the same deep dish pour some water, maybe 100 ml oil, one spoon with a pointed knife make small cuts on the roll, but don’t go all the way down. sprinkle the oil and water mixture all over the rolls sesame seeds… as much as you like cover the tray with aluminium foil and seal the edges always the shiny side outside. it’s important to seal the edges ready for oven there it goes… turn the heat on 220 C [ 428 F] watch the time… after 30 minutes… take the aluminium foil out and put the pie back in the oven watch the time again… after 10 minutes or so… the cheese rolls are done. Leave it like this, or… with 2 wooden spoons… put over one foil of baking paper… then the aluminium foil…but don’t seal the edges this time… one kitchen towel to keep everything in place… after 10 minutes is ready to serve… I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves Enjoy. have a great day, D.
