Welcome to www.mrunalinee.com Today we will make an easy recipe , called Tomato Rice Everybody loves this recipe and it is healthy too It can be taken for travelling or can be prepared for kids lunch box I hope you all love this recipe Hit like if you enjoy it And press the bell icon next to the Subscribe button to get notification of latest videos Let’s start today’s recipe We need all these ingredients for making this dish Tomato – 3 nos ( medium ) ** use ripe and red colour tomatoes Chopped onion – 1/2 no ( do not add much onions ) Crushed ginger – 1 inch Dry red chilli – 1 Green chilli – 1 Curry leaves Chopped cilantro Kashmiri red chilli powder ( to get nice red colour in the rice ) Hing Split bengal gram – 1 tbsp Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp Broken cashew nuts ( 8-10 nos ) Garam Masala Salt Desi ghee Basmati Rice You can use any rice or left over rice Cut the tomatoes first Keep it aside for later use Heat the kadhai on flame Put 1 tbsp ghee in it ( it gives very nice aroma to the dish ) Instead of it you can use any cooking oil Now add red chilli , cumin , mustard seeds, chana dal and fry on low flame Here chana dal has turned to light brown Now add broken cashew nuts And fry till it gets light brown ** Do not make them dark colour Add curry leaves and green chilli Chopped onion Crushed ginger Add little salt and saute on low flame for a minute Onions are became light pink now ** Do not fry it much , some crunchiness should be there Now put a pinch of hing in it kashmiri red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp Put 1/4 tsp garam masala ( Do not add more than it , otherwise the taste will not be good ) Now add chopped tomatoes Put little salt to cook the tomatoes Then cover and cook it on low flame for some time Tomatoes has nicely cooked now Now add the boiled rice in it Here I have added 4 spoon rice Then put salt according to the taste And mix everything gently It is done now Turn off the flame And take it out into a serving bowl Tomato Rice is ready to serve now Serve it with salad or with raita To know more about Raita recipe check the link given in the description box below So try this recipe in breakfast or lunch or in dinner And share with us your experience Thank you See you soon in my next video You could subscribe my channel by clicking on this face icon
